It is a syndrome of impairment in learning to read (dyslexia) and mastering correct spelling (dysorthography), often accompanied by poor graphic writing (dysgraphia).<\/p>\n<p>The term: developmental means that these difficulties occur at a developmental age, i.e. in childhood, from the very beginning of learning to read and write. Dyslexia is not due to visual or hearing impairments or to environmental or didactic neglect.
