Errors specific to auditory-linguistic dysfunction:
- omission of letters, endings or word parts
- addition of letters
- doubling letters
- rearranging the order of letters
- combining and separating words, errors in combined and separated spelling
- confusing consonants in rows voiced – unvoiced: b – p, d – t, w – f, g – k, dz – c, sz – s (this does not apply to phonetic writing, when the child writes as he/she says, e.g. in the word bread
- the voiced word at the end of a word loses its sonority and therefore the child writes hlep)
- confusing the vowels i – y
- distorting the spelling of a whole word (nonsensical words)
- confusion of similar sounding words
- mistakes in softening
- difficulty differentiating i – j
- difficulty differentiating between nasal vowels and particles -om, -on, – em, -en.
